What's CIMA?

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is a UK based professional body offering training and qualification in management accountancy and related subjects, focused on accounting for business; together with ongoing support for members.

CIMA operates a Masters degree standard scheme of fifteen qualifying examinations for prospective members. It is active in promoting local education, training and management development operations, the promotion of new techniques through its research foundation and the dissemination of management accounting practices through publications and other media related activities.

CIMA is recognised as a professional accounting body for various statutory purposes by UK and various overseas governments. The institute regulates the activities of its members by a code of practice, a discipline committee and (a recent innovation) a continuing education scheme..

 

Course Information

We provide the following courses at AME.

 

CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting

Theis certificate will help you build your business and financial knowledge. The certificate is a recognised qualification in its own right as an introduction into the world of finance. It can also be a stepping stone to the CIMA professional qualification.

Students can sit for CIMA CBA at our exam center, anytime they choose to. Payments can be made through Credit card or Cash and you only have to pay CBA exam fees (₤41) and no other charges.

Entry Qualification: No matter what education background, CIMA's entry policy enables anyone to sit for the CIMA Certificate Level.

 

CIMA Managerial Leve I & II

This level is made up of six subjects:

• Paper P1 Management Accounting Performance Evaluation
• Paper P2 Management Accounting Decision Management
• Paper P4 Organisational Management and Information Systems
• Paper P5 Integrated Management
• Paper P7 Financial Accounting and Tax Principles Paper
• P8 Financial Analysis

You will develop decision-making and management skills through studying the Managerial level – as well as an expertise in technical accounting matters. You must complete all of the Managerial level, either through exemptions or exams, before you can move onto the Strategic level. When you complete these subjects, you will receive the ‘CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting’.
